Christopher Meatto is the Managing Partner of HL74, a founder-focused advisory and legal platform whose roots trace back to his Harvard Law School background and entrepreneurial experience building and advising emerging companies. For more than twenty years, he has advised startup and growth-stage businesses on corporate strategy, seed and Series A financings, governance, and business development.

After graduating with honors from Harvard Law School, he spent seven years as a litigation associate at major New York City law firms before founding Meatto Russo Burke & Wallace. The firm went on to represent Swatch Watch and the Swiss watch industry in its international anti-counterfeiting initiatives, while also serving as corporate counsel during the launch of the Swatch brand in the United States.

Long before startups became institutionalized and venture capital became mainstream, he stepped away from traditional legal practice to launch and operate his own fashion watch company. That entrepreneurial experience continues to shape the way he advises founders today — with a practical understanding of the challenges involved in building, financing, scaling, and protecting a business.

He later returned to focus on New York’s early technology startup ecosystem and founded NYCG.COM to provide integrated legal and strategic support to emerging companies and entrepreneurs.

Today, through harvardlaw74 and HL74, he continues to work closely with founders, startups, and growth-stage businesses navigating capital raises, corporate structuring, strategic partnerships, and long-term growth.

Outside of work, he is a lifelong Manchester United supporter, an active member of the Harvard Club of New York City, and lives in Hoboken with his wife and their Corgi, Harvey.
